The Colorado Avalanche have signed 19-year-old prospect Julien Nantel to his entry-level contract, reports TVA’s Renaud Lavoie.
The signing has not yet been made official, but Cap Friendly reports the ELC is a three-year pact with a $680,000 AAV and no signing bonus or performance bonuses. In actual cash it’ll be $630,000 in the first season and $705,000 in the final two years.
With an early September birthday, he was about as young as a draft pick could be when he was picked in the 7th round of the 2014 draft.
this season he’s posted 42 points in 49 games for the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies in the QMJHL. Much of his value comes in a sound defensive game and the ability to transition between forward positions.
