This week, the Hamilton Hammers unveiled their highly anticipated uniforms and the schedule for the 2026-27 American Hockey League (AHL) season.
Hammers Jerseys Revealed
On July 7 at TD Coliseum, New York Islanders general manager Mathieu Darche and Hammers head coach Jay McKee revealed the new jerseys for the upcoming 2026-27 season. The uniforms closely match the parent club’s colour palette, featuring royal blue, orange (a resemblance to the steel industry), and white for the home jersey, and white, orange, and royal blue for the road jersey.
Alongside the jersey unveiling, McKee was formally introduced for the first time since his hiring as Hamilton’s head coach on May 29.

Darche stated McKee was hired based on the latter’s track record as an Ontario Hockey League (OHL) head coach, particularly in developing top prospects, including Nick Lardis, Mason McTavish, and Arber Xhekaj.
