Hamilton Hammers Unveil Jerseys & Release 2026-27 Schedule

This week, the Hamilton Hammers unveiled their highly anticipated uniforms and the schedule for the 2026-27 American Hockey League (AHL) season.

Hammers Jerseys Revealed

On July 7 at TD Coliseum, New York Islanders general manager Mathieu Darche and Hammers head coach Jay McKee revealed the new jerseys for the upcoming 2026-27 season. The uniforms closely match the parent club’s colour palette, featuring royal blue, orange (a resemblance to the steel industry), and white for the home jersey, and white, orange, and royal blue for the road jersey.

Alongside the jersey unveiling, McKee was formally introduced for the first time since his hiring as Hamilton’s head coach on May 29.

Darche stated McKee was hired based on the latter’s track record as an Ontario Hockey League (OHL) head coach, particularly in developing top prospects, including Nick Lardis, Mason McTavish, and Arber Xhekaj.

2026-27 Season Schedule Released

Early in the afternoon on July 9, the Hammers and the AHL released the 2026-27 regular season schedule.

The Hammers start their 72-game inaugural campaign on Oct. 2 against the Belleville Senators at the CAA Arena in Belleville. A week later, on Oct. 9, the Hammers start their home schedule against the defending Calder Cup Champion Toronto Marlies at TD Coliseum.

Key features in the Hammers’ 36-game home schedule include a Family Day game on Feb. 15 against the Utica Comets and School Day games on Nov. 25 against the Syracuse Crunch and on March 3 against the Cleveland Monsters. Additional promotional-themed games will be announced before the start of the season.

Hamilton will play in the North Division of the Eastern Conference with the Laval Rocket, Toronto Marlies, Syracuse Crunch, Belleville Senators, Utica Comets, Cleveland Monsters, and the storied Rochester Americans.

The full regular-season schedule can be found here.
