Jaromir Jagr Passes Brett Hull to Become 3rd All-Time in Goals

Brett Hull now sits fourth all-time in goals scored. Jaromir Jagr tied him and then passed him with a two-goal performance in Saturday’s 3-1 win over the Winnipeg Jets.

Jagr’s two goals gives him 742 career goals, third all-time in NHL history. He now sits behind only Gordie Howe’s 801 and Wayne Gretzky’s 894.

Jagr has climbed a few notches on the list this season, additionally passing Marcel Dionne’s 731 career goals earlier in the year. He now sits 59 goals back from Howe. It may require a few more seasons for Jagr to claim second place on that list.

With a few goals this week following his Feb. 15 birthday, Jagr also became just the fourth NHLer to score a goal over the age of 44.

Jagr is not only setting records, he leads the first place Panthers with 20 goals on the season. It’s the 19th 20-goal season of his career, which began before 18 of his teammates were even born.

The pair of goals and the major milestone made Jagr the obvious choice to don the Cats’ Spacey in Space hoodie at the end of the night, making for a perfect photo with the milestone puck.
