Jets, Oilers Announce Heritage Classic Alumni Rosters With Gretzky, Messier, Selanne

The Winnipeg Jets and Edmonton Oilers announced the rosters for the 2016 Heritage Classic Alumni Game on Friday at an event in Winnipeg.

The highlight is without a doubt the reunion of Wayne Gretzky and Mark Messier, who will don Edmonton Oilers sweaters together. Other highlights joining Edmonton include Grant Fuhr, Bill Ranford, Paul Coffey, Jari Kurri, Kelly Buchberger, and the recently retired Ryan Smyth.

For the Jets, the highlights include the return of Teemu Selanne, who may be able to skate circles around the other old-timers, not being that far removed from actually playing in the NHL. He will be joined by Dale Hawerchuk, Teppo Numminen, Thomas Steen and Ron Wilson, among others.

Take a look at the full rosters below. The Heritage Classic will be played on Sunday, October 23 with the Alumni Game taking place the day before.
