- Despite the likelihood of it happening, P-A Parenteau doesn’t want to be traded from Toronto.
“We’ll see what the future brings for me, but I’d love to stay here. I love it here,” he said.
- The Penguins could be looking at adding a defenseman by the deadline.
The Tribune-Review hints the team could go after a defensive-minded blueliner, but they could stand pat and allow a youngster like Derrick Pouliot to claim a full-time spot on the roster.
- Contract talks between Arizona and Mikkel Boedker have stalled.
Boedker is caught in the crossfire of a negotiation that is not going well. With 24 days left before the NHL’s trade deadline, there has been no movement on a new deal and nothing is imminent, raising the very real possibility that Boedker will not be with the team next season — or even next month.
- The Maple Leafs could decide to move on from Jonathan Bernier, and keep James Reimer.
According to Christopher Boucher from Montreal-based analytics firm Sportlogiq, Reimer’s “red-zone” save percentage – the percentage of shots he has stopped right in front of the goal – is .835, which is second only in the NHL to Washington’s Braden Holtby.
- There is a rumored price for Jiri Hudler.
Hudler has been available for a while. Believe Flames want second-round pick.
