Pacific Division Predictions: How Will It End?

Overview

We are just 22 days away from the conclusion of this regular season. Even though every team in the Western Conference has fewer than 12 games remaining, the playoff picture is almost as vague as it was on game one. This is especially true in the Pacific Division.

It’s obvious the Anaheim Ducks are going to earn their third-straight division title with relative ease, as they currently lead the division by 13 points. Meanwhile, the Phoenix Arizona Coyotes and the Edmonton Oilers are in serious contention for Connor McDavid. But the other four teams in the Pacific– the Vancouver Canucks, Calgary Flames, Los Angeles Kings, and San Jose Sharks– have all been jockeying for a playoff spot this entire year. The race is tight and only time will tell who qualifies for the postseason.

But, it’s still fun to make predictions.

By taking a look at the remaining games for each of the seven clubs, I will attempt to predict the Pacific Division standings come mid-April. Will your team make the postseason?
