The Professional Women’s Hockey League (PWHL) has announced that Monday night’s (May 11) winner-take-all clash between the Minnesota Frost and Montreal Victoire has been postponed due to player safety concerns related to illness.

The decision was made in accordance with the league’s commitment to the health and well-being of all those participating in the game. The assessment determined that the symptoms of the illness are not consistent with hantavirus.
All tickets for May 11 will be honoured on the rescheduled date. Those who cannot attend the new date will be refunded.
With the first-round series tied 2-2, this game at Place Bell was set to decide which team would meet the Ottawa Charge in the Walter Cup Final. The PWHL has not indicated when the game would be rescheduled for; however, they did say they would provide an update within a day.
