The 2025-26 season was a roller coaster for the Seattle Kraken. They had their best start ever and won their first home opener in their five seasons in the league. The Kraken were primed to take a playoff spot by American Thanksgiving, which is usually a decent indicator of who will make the postseason. With two major downswings in December and at the end of the season, the Kraken finished with a final record of 34-37-11.
At the end of the day, there is no one person to blame for the Kraken’s demise. Hockey is a team sport, and this was a team effort in the end. Each player did their part to try and give Seattle a fighting chance at the postseason, but unfortunately, it was not enough. Some players had better performances than others. In this installment of the 2025-26 Kraken report cards, we’ll analyze and grade forward Jordan Eberle’s performance.
2025-26 Performance
Eberle played in 80 games, only missing two in January due to an upper-body injury. He recorded 55 points via 26 goals and 29 assists. He led the team in points for the season.

In the Kraken’s first five games, he recorded four assists. On Oct. 20, he scored his first goal of the season against the Philadelphia Flyers. In the four remaining games in October, he scored three more goals, including two against the Edmonton Oilers on Oct. 25.
Late December into January, Eberle went on his longest point streak, recording seven points in six games. He also had two four-game point streaks, one at the beginning of December and one at the end of January. Eberle had several multi-point games, including two in which he recorded three points in one game.
Eberle’s 55 points this season were his second-highest point total since he’s been with the Kraken. His highest was recorded in the 2022-23 season, where he recorded 63 points. Eberle still had a strong season.
Impact with Seattle
Eberle played on the right wing of the top line with Matty Beniers at center. Jared McCann was injured for a large part of the season, so the left wing switched around a bit until the team picked up Bobby McMann at the trade deadline. The combination of McMann, Beniers, and Eberle was a great one, as they often picked up points together.
Eberle was a strong scorer this season, evidenced by his point total. He kept the top line performing at the level they should, consistently making plays and finding scoring chances. His return to the ice this season after his injury last season was an indicator that Eberle refused to quit.
Future in Seattle
Ahead of the 2025-26 season, Eberle signed a two-year contract extension with the Kraken. The contract has an average annual value (AAV) of $5.5 million and will expire after the 2027-28 season when he turns 38.
Since he will be on the older side for a hockey player when his contract ends, it is unclear whether or not he will remain with the team or retire. As of right now, he has two additional years with the Kraken, and as the captain, it shows how important he is to the team.
Overall Grade
For the 2025-26 season, Eberle receives an A. After having such a rough time last season due to a major injury keeping him off the ice for half the season, Eberle’s strong performance this season is admirable. He led the team in points. On top of that, Eberle’s return to a full season was a great indicator of just how strong their captain is, both on and off the ice.
Eberle is still signed with the Kraken for two more seasons, which is great news for this Seattle team.
