From the Department of Players Maybe Getting a Call from the DoPS: Dallas Stars agitator Antoine Roussel may find himself getting a call on Wednesday after a slew foot trip on the Boston Bruins Zac Rinaldo in Tuesday’s win.
Roussel is a top notch agitator who has been up near the league lead in penalty minutes for the last few seasons and manages to get under everyone’s skin when he’s not in the sin bin.
Rinaldo isn’t a player who is inducing a lot of empathy from fans with at least one questionable hit to his name already this season in a play that ended with former teammate Sean Couturier out of the Philadelphia Flyers lineup with a concussion.
Though his teammates appeared to be willing to give it back to Roussel, who got his comeuppance later in the game when Zdeno Chara laid him out in a play that infuriated Roussel, who snapped his stick over the bench when he went for a line change.
Roussel has two goals, four assists and 26 penalty minutes through 13 games this season.
What do you think? Should Roussel keep his phone on him today?
