Blunden got into just two games for Tampa Bay last season, his first season with the team, posting no points and an average ice time of 9:47 per game.

He’s been in the NHL for parts of eight seasons, playing a total of 104 games split between the Chicago Blackhawks, Columbus Blue Jackets, Montreal Canadiens, and Tampa Bay.

Financial terms of the agreement were not immediately available.
