New Jersey Devils forward Tuomo Ruutu has been fined $5,000 for a slew foot on Pittsburgh Penguins center Matt Cullen in a Mar. 6 game. The NHL Department of Player Safety announced the fine Wednesday.
On the play Ruutu received a minor penalty for tripping.

Ruutu has missed a good chunk of the season with a foot injury, limiting him to just 23 games on the season, over which he has no points. He’s also posted a -1.68% CF%Rel in his limited time this season.
