Winnipeg Jets forward Vladislav Namestnikov is out week to week with a lower-body injury, as per head coach Scott Arniel.
Namestnikov was injured when he “took a tumble into the end boards following a drill” during Thursday’s morning skate in Chicago, Mitchell Clinton reported yesterday.
The exact nature of the injury has not been disclosed. Namestnikov has one assist and a minus-2 rating in six games this season.
The Jets, siting 4-1-2 after last night’s 4-3 overtime loss to the Blackhawks, return home to host the Carolina Hurricanes Saturday afternoon at Canada Life Centre.
