7. Magnus Paajarvi-Svensson – Norrköping, SWE – 6’1″ – 198 lbs – SEL – Timra – LW

One-Timer: MSP is a super creative winger with speed to burn. Known more of a playmaker, the talented Swede still knows how to finish. The powerful and smooth skating MSP is also very tough to knock off the puck. At 7th overall, he could prove to be a steal even at this rank.

NHL Player(s) Comparison: Forsberg, Markus Naslund, Alfredsson, John Tonelli

Scouting Combine Performance:

  • TSN staff noted: “Magnus Paajarvi-Svensson (ranked #2 among Europeans) has all the pieces, coming in a little over 6-foot-1 with a solid build and had a decent workout; nothing earth-shattering, but nothing that would seem to be cause for alarm either.”

International Tournaments: 7 points in 6 games at the WJC-U20 and impressed with his supersonic speed. MSP added 12 points in 6 games at the WJC-U18s.
