During the 2016 edition of the outdoor game, it took less than two minutes for the opening goal to be scored.
During pressure in the Boston zone, Montreal’s David Desharnais was able to capitalize on a loose puck in front of the net. Desharnais used excellent hand-eye coordination to bat the puck past Boston’s Tuukka Rask. He didn’t get all of it, but it was just enough to bounce the puck into the net.

The Canadiens are looking to get out of a slump that saw them lose eight of their last 10 games. A quick strike like that could be just what the team needs to start a turnaround.
Needless to say, Montreal fans have to be pretty happy with how the New Year’s Day event started for their team. For Bruins fans, it’s about playing catch up just minutes in.
