In a late move between the Chicago Blackhawks and the Anaheim Ducks, Chicago’s traded forward Corey Tropp to the Ducks in exchange for defenceman Tim Jackman and a 2017 seventh-round pick.
Tropp was drafted 89th overall in 2007 by the Buffalo Sabres – bouncing up and down between the NHL and AHL since 2010-11. His last stint in the NHL was in 2014-15 with the Columbus Blue Jackets – notching eight points (1g-7a) in 61 games.
So apparently the Blackhawks weren't done … Another minor deal, acquired F Tim Jackman + 7th rounder from Ducks for F Corey Tropp.

The 26-year-old currently played with the AHL’s Albany Devils where he’s managed 28 points (11g-17a) in 51 games.
Going the other way is journeyman Jackman and a seventh-round pick in 2017. The 34-year-old defenceman has played just two games in 2015-16 with Anaheim recording four penalty minutes.
While neither will likely make their new NHL rosters for the remainder of the 2015-16 season, the main piece in this deal is the seventh rounder acquired by the Blackhawks – a team who has used numerous picks to upgrade their current roster.
Stay up to date on all the trades happening through the deadline at The Hockey Writers.
