In a not so kind world, there are always a few people who hold fast to their sense of integrity. Apparently Joey Prusak of Hopkins, Minnesota is exactly that kind of guy. He saw a visually impaired man drop a twenty dollar bill in his restaurant franchise, and saw another customer pick it up. Well not everyone does the right thing and returns ill gotten gains, so Mr. Prusak took a twenty dollar bill out of his own pocket and gave it to the gentleman himself to replace the dropped one. This was genuinely meant to be an act of integrity, to right a wrong. Mr. Prusak, the young nineteen year old certainly didn’t count on the eyes of those who did see it, who then felt compelled to share it. And share it they did. It was noticed by all the way up the corporate ladder to the company’s chair Mr. Buffett, NPR, Facebook, Yahoo, etc. Kindness tends to explode when done in its sincerest form.
Now here’s the awesome thing, as we all know how hockey cares, none of us should be surprised that the Minnesota Wild got wind of it too. So if you’re wondering what The Minnesota Wild did? Well, they’re treating this young kid from the local Dairy Queen like a King. They gave Joey Prusak a suite of twenty seats for tomorrow’s game against the Winnepeg Jets. I have to say, the exchange rate for that twenty dollar bill versus the cost of the suite and the tickets is a pretty sweet deal for Mr. Prusak. Hockey players can vouch for this, it pays to do the work that you do when you know or think no one else is looking.
