Matthew Gray is a writer for The Hockey Writers covering the Montreal Canadiens. Born and raised in the Pittsburgh area, Matthew is currently attending the S. I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University. He has covered multiple Division I teams for the University's student-led newspaper, the Daily Orange. Matthew also served as a beat writer for the Brewster Whitecaps of the Cape Cod Baseball League in the summer of 2025.
