The Boston Bruins have signed 2013 3rd round draft pick (90th overall) Peter Cehlarik to a three-year, entry-level contract, according to multiple sources. The deal will carry an AAV of $742,500 after a $650,000 salary and $278,000 bonuses (performance and signing combined).
The 6-foot-2 Slovak winger has spent the last two seasons playing for Lulea in the SHL. He scored 11 goals and 20 points in 46 games last season, as well as contributing three goals and five points through 11 postseason contests.
Cehlarik has a good deal of potential and is still a young player at 20. Nonetheless, he’s likely going to be spending the majority of the season playing for the Providence Bruins in the AHL.
