Serge Aubin (born February 15, 1975) is a former Canadian ice hockey player, having played his final year in the NHL with the Atlanta Thrashers during the 2005-2006 season. Drafted 161st overall by the Pittsburgh Penguins in the 1994 NHL Entry Draft, Aubin would make his debut in the 1998-99 season, suiting up for the Colorado Avalanche in one game, while spending the remainder of the year with their minor-league affiliate Hershey Bears. Despite putting up respectable numbers in Hershey, Aubin couldn’t maintain a regular spot in the lineup, playing in 15 games the following season.

In the 2000-01 season, Aubin saw success with the Columbus Blue Jackets when he posted a career-high 30 points in 81 games, while adding 131 penalty minutes. He returned the following season but his play dropped off significantly, reduced to 16 points in 71 games. He returned to Colorado for one more season before he was claimed off the NHL waiver draft by the Thrashers. Aubin played in two seasons with the Thrashers, amassing 17 goals and 32 assists in 140 games. At the conclusion of the 2005-06 season, Aubin left the NHL to continue his hockey career in Europe.

Aubin served Genève-Servette HC of the Swiss league for three seasons and HC Fribourg-Gottéron for two seasons, before moving on to Germany to play for the Hamburg Freezers. In 2007, following Genève-Servette HC’s elimination from the playoffs, Aubin was loaned to EHC Biel-Bienne. In six games, he registered 5 goals and 11 assists, aiding the team to an NLB Championship. His 2012-13 season with Hamburg was cut short after a severe thumb injury forced him into retirement. Post-career, Aubin pursued a career in coaching, opting to remain in Europe after playing there for the previous seven seasons.
