For the first time since Jan. 2, Yanni Gourde is back in the lineup for the Seattle Kraken tonight. Gourde underwent surgery to repair a sports hernia that he endured against the Vancouver Canucks. After nine weeks of recovery time, he is finally back on the ice.

Before his injury, Gourde played in 35 games this season. He earned 16 points via six goals and 10 assists. Before his injury, he had been a solid forward for Seattle, averaging 16:28 of ice time (TOI).
As the trade deadline looms closer, his return could increase the likelihood he gets traded. As a name that has been thrown around for the Kraken to move, could his return to the ice tonight be his last game with Seattle?
