The San Jose Sharks will get center Logan Couture back in the lineup following a seven-game absence, according to CSN’s Kevin Kurz. He’s expected to play in Wednesday’s game against the Philadelphia Flyers.
Couture was out after requiring surgery to fix a small arterial bleed in his thigh that occurred just two games after he returned from a broken right fibula suffered during a practice.
It’s bee a rough season for Couture, who has found his way into just five games this season, scoring no goals and two assists.
“I think he’s in a better place physically than maybe he was the first time he came back from the ankle,” said coach Peter DeBoer.
Couture took line rushes on the second line with Patrick Marleau and Joel Ward.
