The Boston Bruins and New York Rangers rivalry had a little fuel tossed into the flames Friday.
After college free agent Jimmy Vesey signed with the New York Rangers, spurning his hometown Bruins, Boston forward Matt Beleskey let Vesey know he didn’t think much of his choice.
@19Vesey bad decision fella ….
— Matt Beleskey (@Matt_Beleskey) August 20, 2016
Beleskey’s “bad decision, fella…” tweet has been met with a lot of trash talk from Rangers fans on Twitter.
Vesey may have a few tough games early in his career. He’ll join the Rangers in a visit to Boston on Nov. 5 and then they’ll play their only road game of the year in Nashville on Dec. 17. That comes shortly after a Dec. 1 visit to the Buffalo Sabres. All three of those games could see Vesey get an icy reception from fans.
