Latest Rumors:

During Saturday’s “Headlines” segment on Hockey Night in Canada, Elliotte Friedman reported that the Canadiens have told teams Galchenyuk is not up for grabs.

As such, Ladd moves to the top of the list of Deadline Day acquisitions, as the Jets — unwilling to invest somewhere in the neighbourhood of $36 million and six years into Ladd — will look to recoup something for their departing captain in a trade.

“I’ve loved being a Leaf & I’d like to be a Leaf my whole career, but obviously this unrestricted thing is sometimes a weird thing”

For the most part, the names in play aren’t surprising. Lamoriello has been gauging teams’ interest in rental players Roman Polak, P.A. Parenteau and Shawn Matthias, veterans who are all in the final year of their contract.
