Philadelphia Signs Pascal Laberge

The Philadelphia Flyers have signed 2016 2nd round (36th overall) Pascal Laberge to a three-year, entry-level contract, the team announced Thursday.

The 18-year-old forward spent last season playing for the Victoriaville Tigres of the QMJHL, where he scored 23 goals and 68 points in 56 games.

He also skated for Team Canada at the 2016 U18 World Junior Championship, posting two goals and four points in seven contests. He’s expected to spend next season playing with Victoriaville once again, likely following an appearance at the start of camp.

He was one of three 2nd round picks made by the Flyers and the second of 10 picks overall, including goaltender Carter Hart and 22nd overall pick German Rubtsov.
