Tarasenko Fools Goaltender With Puck on String Trick

St. Louis Blues star Vladimir Tarasenko skated at a HC Sibir preseason fan event this week. The 40-goal scorer spent four seasons playing in the KHL for Sibir before making the leap over to the NHL after the lockout, so there’s a strong connection between Tarasenko and the club.

During a shootout for fans, Tarasenko put on a show, doing some fine stickhandling and putting the puck on a string, literally, to fool the goaltender. As he approaches the net, he pushes the puck toward the far side and then yanks it back to him, sending the goaltender sliding off in the wrong direction.

It’s a pretty funny move and looks amazing, even if it’s just a little sleight of hand.
