2015 NHL Draft: Arizona Coyotes Select Dylan Strome

The Arizona Coyotes have selected Dylan Strome with the third overall pick in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft.

Well, that was to be expected. With McDavid and Eichel finally off the board, the Coyotes filled a hole that needed filling. Strome will fit right in with the young Coyotes. He should be a really good candidate to make the team right away and could end up on the same line as Max Domi or Anthony Duclair. The sad thing is that now he has deal with all the trouble that surrounds the team.

In 68 games with the Erie Otters, he scored 45 goals and amassed 129 points to lead the OHL. If he remains in Erie, he’ll have a chance to really show what he can do without McDavid.

The Coyotes are next slated to select 30th overall with the pick they acquired from the Chicago Blackhawks in exchange for Antione Vermette. They have the 32nd and 60th picks in the second round as well as the 63rd and 81st pick in the third. They have the 123rd pick in the fifth and the 183rd pick in the seventh.
