-The Avs were handed their third straight loss by the Florida Panthers on Saturday. Goaltender Semyon Varlamov is finally starting to look beatable, but Colorado still sits comfortably at 14-5-0.

Columbus Blue Jackets

-Top wing Marian Gaborik will be out at least a month due to knee injury. Gaborik has struggled greatly this season (11 pts) and rumors indicate he will be moved.

Montreal Canadiens

-Montreal has struggled to score this week, with only 4 goals in 3 games. Despite sensational goaltending from Price and Budaj, the Habs have dropped 2 of 3 this week.

Nashville Predators

-The Preds thumped the champion Blackhawks by the tune of 7-2. Marek Mazanec got his first NHL win with 39 saves, and the 7 goals is a season high.

-The Devils have won 4 in a row, and Marty is playing sensationally. The veteran, through two games this week, has let in only 3 goals on 63 shots.

NY Islanders

-The Isles lost netminder Evgeni Nabakov, who has not been great. This will give Kevin Poulin an opportunity to take the reins full-time, given Nabakov’s recent struggles.

NY Rangers

-Captain Cally scored the lone goal against the Habs this weekend, and Cam Talbot got his first NHL shutout. Could Prince Cam change King Henrik for playing time?
