Johan Erik Daniel Holmqvist (born May 24, 1978) is a former Swedish professional ice hockey goaltender. Drafted by the New York Rangers in the 1997 Entry Draft, he won an American Hockey League Calder Cup championship with the Hartford Wolfpack in 2003. Holmqvist played most of his NHL games with the Tampa Bay Lightning from 2006-2008. He finished his North American career with the Dallas Stars before returning to Sweden to win two Elitserien Championships and several other accolades. As of 2022-23, he serves as the goaltending coach for Brynäs IF.
