Minnesota Wild Unveil Alumni Game Jersey

The Minnesota Wild have unveiled their Stadium Series Alumni Game jerseys, which are excellent. They’re basically just a Minnesota North Stars jersey with a Minnesota Wild path on the left shoulder. It mimics the final home jersey of the North Stars before they moved to Dallas.

It’s a fantastic looking jersey, as you can see above with model Neal Broten, giving Minnesota fans a taste of the team they lost. The look comes with some understated gold gloves and green breezers, reminiscent of the multi-color seats at the old Met Center.

“It’s fun to put on this jersey. I think the fans will get a kick out of watching us play on Saturday just because of the rivalry in the past,” Broten said of the upcoming game.

“I think fans will remember the games we used to play at the old Met Center against the Blackhawks. It should be a fun game, and then of course, the game on Sunday will be packed.”

The North Stars theme was rumored to be happening for a long time because the majority of the alumni roster will be players from the North Stars, including some starry names like Mike Modano, Neal Broten, Brian Bellows and Dino Ciccarelli.

The game will take place the day before the Wild’s Stadium Series game, February 20 at 3pm ET at TCF Stadium, home of the University of Minnesota Golden Gophers football team. They will take on a Chicago Blackhawks alumni team that will feature Jeremy Roenick, Chris Chelios, Denis Savard and others.
