The Minnesota Wild have signed restricted free agents Tyler Graovac and Zac Dalpe, the team confirmed Thursday.
Graovac, an offensively skilled 6-foot-5 center, gets a two-year, two-way deal carrying an AAV of $625,000. He made the NHL club out of camp last year and was almost instantly injured. He never seemed to fully recover and spent the rest of the season in the AHL with the Iowa Wild.
Dalpe gets a one-year, two-way deal carrying a $600,000 value at the NHL level. He didn’t find his way into a NHL jersey with the Wild until the final two games of the season and stuck around with the club into the postseason. He grabbed three playoff games, the first of his career.
These are two of the bigger AHL deals the Wild should be making this summer. The other big move expected to come in free agency is tracking down an AHL goaltender. The Star Tribune reports that former San Jose Sharks goaltender Alex Stalock has interested in coming to the team. He grew up in St. Paul.
