Sunday is going to be a different kind of show ladies and gentlemen. THW Live will be taking on a variety of topics while also sifting through the murky news of the CBA or the lack of any substantive news anyway (other than the bad kind). As Hurricane (or Tropical Storm) Sandy or “Frankenstorm” settles in, we will span over the world of hockey in a one hour whirling dervish plus archive naturally. The great part of round-table discussions is the feeling that we get or learn something we did not know before.
With the news that came across on Friday afternoon, there have been plenty of questions. At the current moment, there seems to be few answers but I did when I asked E.J. Hradek if there was still lots of behind the scenes wrangling, here was his reply.
There’s a lot more going on behind the scenes. Good read by you.
Honestly, there was a bit more that he was willing to tell me off the record but here is where the frustrating part lies. They are closer than most think and yet nothing can still get done. It really is enough to drive people mad but there is little any of us can do other than talk about it a little more then chat about the hockey actually going on.
Now, let’s get down to the heart of the matter and figure out just what the heck we are going to talk about on this week’s episode. There was this part of me where I was having this night rant and then the show ended unexpectedly. That will not happen again. Here is what we have on tap for this Sunday’s episode.
- Intros and some sort of monologue
- Fantasy KHL Draft Results?
- Time for another special THW Round Table!
- Spanning the hockey world with Josh
- Break time along with a few plugs. We need more plugs!
- Jeff Little is going to grace our presence.
- Yes we will talk about “that storm.”
- Any last words?
- And then it is the OVERTIME!
What topics may we be discussing? Honestly, the CBA is always up for debate sadly because it seems destined to be an issue for a long time. After that, there will be discussions on teams, the business side of hockey, and much much more. Think of this like a “smorgasbord” of hockey. For those wondering, the weather is not supposed to go downhill until Monday so other than some wind, no one will notice anything. That is the plan at this time hopefully.
It shapes up to be a fun show as always. All you have to do to get on the show is call 1-347-826-7358. Also, you can follow us on Twitter @ChrisWasselTHW. The show is on Blog Talk Radio’s Fantasy Sports Channel. This is definitely a cannot miss episode as who knows how heated this will get. Stay tuned, join in, and spread the word!
Hockey + Sandy = Come on and take a listen at 8pm ET.
