It may not have been Miller Time for Buffalo last night as Jhonas Enroth was in net; but it was in Detroit as his brother Drew scored the game winner in Hockeytown.
Drew Miller scored his first goal of the season as line mate Patrick Eaves notched his first assist of the season after missing most of the early season with back issues.

Click-Click-Click the Rangers line of Marian Gaborik, Derek Stepan and Artem Anisimov is doing just that. The line collected all seven points earned by the Rangers last night in Ottawa.

Islanders’ Nabokov was pulled from net after he allowed three goals on twelve shots to be replaced by Al Montoya. Montoya seeing his first ice time since October 20th. The change in goal tendering sparked the Islanders offense as Michael Grabner scored to make it 3-2 heading into the first intermission.

Martin Brodeur has taken many goaltending records for his own – usually for the best. Last night the Winningist goalie in NHL history tied Curtis Joseph and Gump Worsley for the most NHL losses with 352.
*via James O’Brien the 352 is just regular season his total losses is 434 if you add in playoff losses.

Montreal would come out and dominate in the second as Andrei Kostitsyn would tip-in a shot from Jaroslav Spacek that was set up from Max Pacioretty to take the lead. Just over two minutes later it would be a goal for Pacioretty himself that would give the Canadiens a 3-1 lead heading into the second intermission.

Just 4:47 into the second period and Boyd Gordon would be the fourth player to score his first of the season as he put the Coyotes up by one with a wrist shot past Jonas Hiller. Less than two minutes later Lauri Korpikoski would make it a two goal lead for the Coyotes to be followed up with a first of the season goal from Keith Yandle to give Phoenix a 5-2 lead over Anaheim.

Capitals move onto a new franchise best of being 6-0 to start the season. Only Washington and the Detroit Red Wings remain undefeated (if Detroit wins tonight against the Columbus Blue Jackets Saturday‘s game against the Red Wings will be an even bigger game for the Capitals).

It would take eight seconds, yes eight seconds after the puck drop before the Jets would take the lead as Kyle Wellwood would score his second goal of the season as he went backhand on Marc-Andre Fleury.

Off to a slow start this season it took just over two minutes into yesterday’s game for Anahiem’s Bobby Ryan to record his first goal of the season. Ryan put a snap shot past Jaroslav Halak just as a penalty to St. Louis’ Nikita Nikitin for holding expired.
