For the first time since 2014, the NHL will compete in the Winter Olympics. Last season’s 4 Nations Face-Off showcased the NHL’s capabilities on the international stage, but now, the league returns to the biggest platform. The St. Louis Blues are sending five players to represent their countries: Jordan Binnington, Colton Parayko, Philip Broberg, Pius Suter, and Dalibor Dvorsky.

If you are interested in keeping up with our Blue Note Olympians, the following is each player’s schedule. All times are listed as Eastern Standard Time.
Jordan Binnington and Colton Parayko: Team Canada
After both helped Team Canada win the 4 Nations Face-Off last season, both return to Team Canada. Despite his offensive production taking a dip this season, Parayko remains sturdy on the blue line, making him a great option for Team Canada’s defense.
Binnington, meanwhile, has had a rough season that has many wondering whether it will cost him his role on Team Canada. As we approach the first game, it remains unclear who will get the nod, with Binnington and Logan Thompson the favourites. Binnington does have an impressive resume on the big stage, with both a Stanley Cup and a 4 Nations championship to his name.
Binnington and Parayko play in Group A, which includes Czechia, Switzerland, and France.
Team Canada’s Schedule
- Thursday, Feb. 12 vs. Czechia, 10:40 A.M.
- Friday, Feb. 13 vs. Switzerland, 3:10 P.M.
- Sunday, Feb. 15 vs. France, 10:40 A.M.
Philip Broberg: Team Sweden
Broberg joins Team Sweden with a gold medal from the 2019 U18 World Championship. In 56 games this season, he has scored three goals and recorded 19 points. The 24-year-old’s skating will be a strong asset to the team, especially when starting an attack from the defensive zone.
Broberg plays in Group B, which also includes Slovakia, Finland, and Italy.
Team Sweden’s Schedule
- Wednesday, Feb. 11 vs. Italy, 3:10 P.M.
- Friday, Feb. 13 vs. Finland, 6:10 A.M.
- Saturday, Feb. 14 vs. Slovakia, 6:10 A.M.
Pius Suter: Team Switzerland
Suter’s first season with the Blues has been marred by injuries. He has played in only 40 games, scoring seven goals. He was only recently activated from injured reserve, so he will be joining Switzerland for the tournament.
Team Switzerland plays in Group A, which includes Canada, Czechia, and France.

- Thursday, Feb. 12 vs. France, 6:10 A.M.
- Friday, Feb. 13 vs. Canada, 3:10 P.M.
- Sunday, Feb. 15 vs. Czechia, 6:10 A.M.
Dalibor Dvorsky: Team Slovakia
Dvorsky returns to international play after scoring nine goals in 47 games. This marks his eighth time representing his country at a tournament. His standout performance came at the 2022 U18 Division Championship, where he scored five goals and 11 points in five games, helping Slovakia win gold.
Team Slovakia plays in Group B, with Finland, Sweden, and Italy.

- Wednesday, Feb. 11 vs. Finland, 10:40 A.M.
- Friday, Feb. 13 vs. Italy, 6:10 A.M.
- Saturday, Feb. 14 vs. Sweden, 6:10 A.M.
Playoffs and Medal Games
The playoff games start on Feb. 17. Each group’s top team and the second-place team with the most points will advance to the quarterfinals. The remaining eight teams will play in a qualification round, with four advancing to the quarterfinals.
The bronze medal game will be played on Feb. 21 at 11:40 A.M., and the gold medal game will be played the next day, starting at 5:10 A.M.
