Petr Mrazek has revealed the mask he will wear at next month’s World Cup and is making a strong case for the tournament’s best mask.

Mrazek will be a member of Team Czech Republic and will be wearing a mask that depicts Peter Griffin, the well-known father character from Fox’s The Family Guy cartoon comedy show, climbing up the CN Tower King Kong-style, with a Czech Republic flag in hand. The mask was designed by artist, David Gunnarsson. The Air Canada Centre in Toronto will host the eight-team international tournament from Sept. 17 to Oct. 1.
Mrazek’s stylish masks with a connection to Peter Griffin have been a topic of discussion dating back to his days as a goalie with the Grand Rapid Griffins in 2013 and has continued as a member of the Red Wings. In 2014, he and Jimmy Howard revealed their holiday masks and Mrazek’s helmet again included Peter Griffin– this time in a Santa Claus outfit.

The creativity of Mrazek’s masks with the Red Wings is unlikely to end anytime soon. In July, he and the team avoided arbitration when he signed a two-year, $8 million contract.
