Sens’ Milan Michalek Out Indefinitely

For the second time this season, Ottawa Senators forward Milan Michalek will be out of the lineup for a spell.

The team announced during Friday’s game that Michalek had fractured a finger on his right hand. That’s the same hand that he broke earlier in the season, forcing him to miss 16 games. Friday’s game was just his eighth game back from that initial injury.

The Senators did not give a timeline for his return, simply stating that he’ll be “out indefinitely.”

Michalek suffered the injury on Friday when he blocked a shot with his hand. He left the game against the New York Islanders during the second period and did not return.

Michalek has just six goals and 10 points through 31 games this season.
