In the 2014-15 season, a total of 26 prospects will skate in the KHL (or in their affiliate teams in the VHL or MHL). Many good Russian players this summer left the KHL to join the NHL (Artemi Panarin, Evgeni Medvedev, and many others), but the top Russian league is still an interesting place for developing players.
Good ice-time, high level of competition and hockey played against men allow for a good development path for many top-end players, like the recent examples of Vladimir Tarasenko or Evgeny Kuznetsov.
Please note that this list includes only players born in 1990 and younger. Moreover, the list doesn’t include former NHL prospects who aren’t NHL teams property anymore, like Nikita Filatov.
Here you will find a list of NHL prospects playing in the KHL, ordered by NHL team.
