William Villeneuve (born March 20, 2002) is a Canadian ice hockey player, currently under contract with the Toronto Maple Leafs. He joined the Saint John Sea Dogs in the 2018-19 season and after catching his footing at the major junior level, his offensive awareness took off. Villeneuve registered 58 points in 64 games in his second year, finishing the season by leading all defensemen in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) in points and assists. He was selected 122nd overall by the Maple Leafs in the 2020 NHL Entry Draft.

Representing the Sea Dogs as an alternate captain in three of four seasons, he recorded one assist in five playoff games during the team’s 2022 CHL Memorial Cup Championship run. That same year, Villeneuve completed the season with the QMJHL’s best plus-minus record of plus-60, and was named to the QMJHL Second All-Star Team.
