Ivan Vladimirovich Provorov (born 13 January 1997) is a Russian professional ice hockey defenseman for the Columbus Blue Jackets of the National Hockey League (NHL).
Provorov was born in Yaroslavl, Russia, and played with the Yaroslavl Lokomotiv youth hockey team before moving to Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania at the age of 13. After playing two seasons with the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Knights junior hockey team and one with the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders of the United States Hockey League (USHL), the Brandon Wheat Kings of the Western Hockey League selected Provorov 30th overall in the 2014 CHL Import Draft.
The Philadelphia Flyers selected Provorov seventh overall in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft, and he signed an entry-level contract that year. Provorov has not missed a game with the Flyers since his NHL debut in 2016, and was named alternate captain in January 2021. Internationally, Provorov has represented Russia in several tournaments, including the IIHF World U20 Championship and the Ice Hockey World Championships.
