Mathieu Biron (born April 29, 1980) is a former Canadian ice hockey player, having played his final year in the NHL with the Washington Capitals during the 2005-2006 season. Drafted 21st overall by the Los Angeles Kings in the 1998 NHL Entry Draft, Biron never got the chance to suit up for the team that drafted him, as he was traded in a package along with Josh Green, Olli Jokinen, and a 1999 first-round pick to the New York Islanders for Zigmund Palffy, Bryan Smolinski, Marcel Cousineau, and a 1999 fourth-round pick. Biron made his debut in the 1999-2000 season, appearing in 60 games and registering four goals and four assists. The following year, he was limited to 14 games, spending the remainder of the year in the AHL and ultimately leading to his trade out of Long Island.

Biron was sent to the Tampa Bay Lightning, along with a 2002 second-round pick, for defenseman Adrian Aucoin and forward Alexander Kharitonov. Again, Biron split time between the NHL and the AHL, and his time served with Tampa Bay showcased his struggles defensively paired with an inability to produce anything offensively. He spent two seasons with the Florida Panthers, reaching a career high in points with 13 during the 2003-04 season, and even scored a goal against his brother, Martin Biron. His final season was played with the Capitals, where he tied his career high in points while scoring four goals.

Biron pursued his hockey career in Europe, signing with the Frankfurt Lions for the 2008-09 season, and his numbers improved with a 21-point season in 49 games. He played one more year in Germany, with the Hamburg Freezers, before finishing off his hockey career in the Ligue Nord-Américaine de Hockey with the Thetford Mines Isothermic.
